Naser - Stockton Heath Classes - November 2007

I wanted to give some feedback on the Jo Jingles Classes our Son, Hassan attends at Stockton Heath (St James Church) on Friday mornings.

The Class Teacher, Susan deserves a very special mention. She is very professional, organised, shows great enthusiasm in her classes and you can see that she spends alot of time preparing for the classes. I am so impressed by the fact that she engages all the children in her sessions and installs a combination of infectious fun and authority in her classes, she is also great at capturing the children's attention. The special touches she includes in her classes, like remembering the children's names make the Jo Jingles sessions extra special. Story times are a joy and the skill at which she has the children sitting next to her in an organised circle is to be admired.

There is always a clear message of what the underlying theme is for each Jo Jingles class and this is reinforced at the end of the session. There is also flexibility and a great understanding of children’s' behaviour (very important), as illustrated by the "Musical Instrument Sessions". Children are of course told not to bite or suck the toys and the natural reaction of some young children is to ignore this standard request! There is no anger from Susan when this happens and she continues to show an enthusiastic happy, behaviour.

Kirsty & Abigail - Greenock Funworld Classes - November 2007

My daughter and I have just begun our second term at Jo Jingles. At first Abigail would not join in and wanted to go home, she would cry but Lynsay the leader just carried on didn't make a fuss and encouraged her to join in.  Now she really looks forward to going, we have the cd in the car and she's learning all the songs. This has really brought her out of her shell and gave her lots of confidence.

Deborah Crocker - Nr Fordingbridge, Hants - November 2007

I wanted to write to say how impressed I have been and continue to be with Jo Jingles. I attend a number of different classes throughout the week with Abbie, (such as Baby Gym, Sing and Sign and Puppetalk and Jo Jingles is the only class we go to that we have never been disappointed.

I started taking Abbie to Jo Jingles at Ringwood when she was about eight months old, she is now nearly two and I know that we look forward to continuing to do Jo Jingles throughout her time at pre-school before actually going full-time at school. Unlike other classes there have never been any cancellations, and only very few occasions when a class has been covered.

I strongly feel that much of our enjoyment of Jo Jingles is also down to the enthusiasm and professionalism with which Mel, our teacher runs every class.

I’m sure Mel has been taking classes for some time but the classes always seem to run smoothly, seem different every time and there is still lots of fun injected into the delivery of the programme. The lively atmosphere that Mel promotes in her classes is contagious and never fails to involve all in the class.

When unfortunately Ringwood classes closed we happily followed Mel to her Bournemouth classes even though it is a long journey for a little one.

Mel treats each class as new without giving any impression of repetition, routine or boredom.

Carol - Children's Centre - November 2007

I would just like to say a BIG thank you to Fran and Abbie who deliver sessions at our Children's Centre.

The sessions are fantastic and everyone loves them!

Rita, Jason, Rhone, Hollie & Destiny - Kent Classes - October 2007

My son has attended his first half term at Jo Jingles.

Being 2 and 5 months behind in his development, I needed some help; when he was born as I had a spinal disability, and could not interact with my child or play with him. I was also an older mum with a 22 month old granddaughter as well.

I contacted Gill and she told me about Inez's class in Dartford. Since taking them both there with the help of my daughter, Rhone my son has come out of his self he has learnt to recognise animals and the sounds that go with them, every time he sees the Jo Jingles logo he starts singing the Cock-a-doodle-doo song and does the actions.

I couldn't join in and had to sit on the side, I felt embarrassed at first but Inez made me feel so welcome and was so understanding.

I encouraged my partner, Rhone's dad, to come along, he felt a bit reluctant because he was a man, but again Inez didn't treat him any different and he loves spending time, with his son. Being our full time carer, it helped him as well.

Rhone loves singing and dancing and the classes are so good for him to express himself. Gill didn't mind me putting him in the younger class to improve his ability and I'm sure it won’t be long till he moves up a class.

We haven't a lot of money but we scraped together some to put him in the next term’s class it is definitely worth every penny. I have told everyone about the classes and have given leaflets to the pre-schools and friends and family.

I just want to say thank-you Gill, Inez and Jo Jingles!

Amanda Liggett- Middlewich, Cheshire - October 2007

My daughter and I have been attending Jo Jingles for 2 years, i.e. since my little girl was 8 weeks old and it is the only event that Olivia wakes up every morning to ask me if it’s Jo Jingles day…  She really loves the 45 minute session and carries it on every day by asking me to put the job jingles cd on and with her teddy she will do every action and now sing every word to every song- people come and are amazed at her ability at the age of 2.  For me it is the one toddler event that I really hate to miss and look forward to. Apart from the tractor song which is every toddlers favourite and Olivia has been sat on the floor hourly doing this with her….. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently my daughter has become very shy and has the usual toddler fears whereby she is scared of certain things, and certainly doesn’t like crowds or grown up adults.  Alison is so good with such toddlers whom suffer with shyness, she has a real knack with it and instead of making a fuss, she has an ability to get the toddler to come to her and slowly but surely Olivia is standing up and collecting her instrument without Mummy having to collect it with her.  She watches Alison’s every move and copies everything she does.  Alison also keeps the naughty toddlers in order as well which is good as Olivia is scared of lots of noise and lots of unruly children so the class is disciplined and organised.  Alison has the adults standing to attention as well. he he

She is a real credit to Jo Jingles; you think she is almost non human as you would never know if she was having a bad day or any personal troubles as she is always the same every week.  All of the other class attendees share the same feeling as me and would love it if Jo could come and visit her one day with a bunch of flowers.

Anita & Samantha - Edinburgh Classes - October 2007

We would like to say a BIG thank you to Susan at the Liberton Church Hall classes in Edinburgh.

When we first joined Jo Jingles, my daughter, Samantha was a little shy and would hesitate to join in - thanks to Susan's endless energy and enthusiasm, we persevered and now Samantha has a fantastic time dancing and joining in with the other children. A joy to watch her confidence grow.

Jo Jingles has helped Samantha to be more confident and now we are ready for nursery.

We recommend it to anyone, a great pre-school activity.

Thanks again, Susan.

Wendy Harbour - Beaconsfield Classes - September 2007

I would like to email you some feedback on my experience of Jo Jingles in Beaconsfield with Val.

My twins girls loved every minute of the sessions with Val, she was always bright and cheerful, and knew her songs very well. Each session was structured with different themes, which the girls spoke about after each visit. The girls love their T Shirts and wear them in bed even!!! What I liked the most about Val was that she ensured there was some discipline so all children benefited from the sessions and used as many senses as possible, with as many instruments as possible. The girls have moved to pre-school this year but loved Jo Jingles we would recommend this to any parent and child.

Thank you Val.

Denise Alexander - Weaversham, Cheshire - August 2007

I felt I had to write to you to let you know how much of a star our Jo Jingles teacher has been over the past few months.

My daughter Jennifer has being attending Jo Jingles in Jo Crows, Blakemere, Cheshire, since she was about 20 months old. She is now nearly four. She has a congenital heart condition and had a major operation as a baby. This Easter, at only 3 years old, she had to have further open heart surgery to replace one of the valves in her heart. It was major surgery, necessitating an 8 hour operation and a potentially lengthy stay in hospital. We were all nervous but I wanted to make Jennifer feel as secure about going into hospital as possible, and to make her feel as at ease as possible despite it being a traumatic time for her. Jennifer was also very poorly in the three months leading up to the operation, as we waited for our turn at the top of the list. She had very little energy and was in considerable pain a lot of the time, on top of this, she had to be tube fed.

Our teacher, Eve Kay in Mid Cheshire was absolutely brilliant. Not only did she make sure that Jennifer was included in the classes as much as possible, so Jennifer enjoyed herself enormously and was able to make and keep friends even though she wasn’t very well. But Eve also did a couple of special classes for Jennifer’s benefit. Jo went to the dentist, for example, where he had a mask and had people peering at him, and there was one when he was poorly and had to go to the doctor – Jo had to open his mouth or have the doctor listen to his heart. It sounds like a small matter, but for Jennifer, any contact with a medic or a nurse had become quite traumatic because she has had so many investigations in her short life so far, some of them painful. The classes Eve did at Jo Jingles were excellent on two levels. They really helped Jennifer feel less nervous, she could practise going to the doctor and also see other children enjoying themselves in this sort of context. Also, they helped me enormously, because when we were in the hospital I could sing the songs with Jennifer, and remind her of the classes, making us both feel more at ease.

Her operation was extremely successful, and she was discharged from hospital over the Easter break and only had to miss one class.

Jennifer’s Jo Jingles classes were, and still are, the highlight of her week. Now she can enjoy them even more as she is pain free and full of energy.

Annette Durkin - Rochester Classes - August 2007

I would just like to say that my daughter Alice and I have been going to the Jo Jingles class at St Mary's Island, Rochester for a year and a half now.  Inez runs the class and I think she is fantastic.  She is always full of energy and enthusiasm and I believe my daughter has benefited enormously from the classes.

Alice has developed confidence and a love for music and I am sure it has also helped her social and literacy skills.  Inez always uses visual/kinaesthetic aids for the children and being a primary school teacher myself, I am well aware of the benefits.

Unfortunately, Alice and I will no longer be attending the Jo Jingles class as Alice will soon be going to Nursery and there are other things I would like to try but I will recommend Jo Jingles to anyone I know.  We have enjoyed every minute!  Thank you.

Elisabeth Taylor - South Woodham Ferrers, Essex - July 2007

I have been bringing my children, Emily and Daniel, to the Hadleigh branch of Jo Jingles for the past eight years. This week's sessions will be my last as my son Daniel has come to the end of his time with Jo.

Both my children have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Hadleigh where both facilitators have been excellent. I would ike to commend the work of both Karen, who has run the group for 5 years and Tara who was our first teacher. Between them they have made Jo Jingles a very enjoyable experience.

Jo Jingles is by far one of the best pre-school clubs around. It has given my children a love of music, great entertainment and provided them with confidende for their future schooling.

Donna Eccleston - Wombourne, West Midlands Classes - July 2007

My name is Donna and I have been attending the Jo Jingles class in Wombourne, West Midlands run by Clare O'Hara with my son Sebastian for the past 2½ years and I just want to let you know what a wonderful franchisee you have in Clare, she is so brilliant with all the children and always has a smile and it has been such a pleasure to take Sebastian to class each week. I think that he has learnt so much at class and had a great time.

I run a franchised business myself so I know it can be a hard job but Clare is a star. You should be very proud of her representing your name.

Karen MacFarlane and Grace - Hockley Classes - July 2007

I would just like to thank Shelley for the past one and a half years and the help and entertainment given to my daughter Grace.  Unfortunately, she’s left due to illness but I would like to say that her classes were enjoyable, fun and she ALWAYS held the children’s attention.  I would totally recommend Jo Jingles – for the learning curve but also as a way of meeting other young children and interacting with other local mums.

A big thank you to Jo Jingles and Shelley we’re all going to miss you.

Nikki Cahill- Dovercourt, Essex - June 2007

I have been attending Jo Jingles classes with my two year old daughter, Willow since she was 12 months old and I have seen the wonderful affect it has had on her development since joining. Willow was always so shy, but has now gained so much confidence since attending at Dovercourt. I was so proud of her when she first went up to the front of the class to show her toy she had brought that week. Through the excellent support of her teacher and her thorough enjoyment of the class, she now plays and dances along and gets so excited when she knows she is going to Jo Jingles that morning. All we have to do is sing "Good morning, good morning, good morning to you" and she wants to grab her Jo Jingles bag and go!

This is a truly fantastic class, and a great way to spend a morning with your child, and one where as the adult you get involved too. We have had two teachers in the year we have been going. First Rebecca, and now Shara and Willow loves them both. It was great to see when Willow took to Shara straight away, which shows just what a fantastic bunch the Jo Jingles team is. They really get to know each individual child to get the most from them.

A BIG thank you.

Jayne Spencer - Macclesfield, Cheshire - May 2007

I've been taking my daughter Jessica who is nearly two to Jo Jingles since she was six months old and she absolutely loves it.

Alison runs our session and the encouragement she gives Jessica, well all the children, is fantastic. Everybody comments how well developed Jessica is and I put a lot of this down to this class (and her obsession with stickers!) I was worried Jessica doesn't get to interact with many other children as she doesn't attend Nursery whilst I work but she get's this on a Monday morning when she meets all her little friends at Jo Jingles.

I would highly recommend this to anyone and I must admit I felt a little embarrassed when I first went but everyone joins in and has a fab time.

Lisa-Ann Gibbons - May 2007

Wow what can I say!

It’s the end of an era for me after almost 6 years of attending Jo Jingles classes in Wokingham. Both my daughters attended from 18 months and stayed until they were Pre-School age.

To prospective parents & carers out there – you really couldn’t choose a better start for your children. It's a place not only where your children are able to develop their motoring skills, but also learn about different sounds and rhythms alongside their peer group. They are introduced to new songs and routines and experience all types of instruments. More importantly the classes develop all the time and you will often find that your teacher has devised another great way to enjoy a favourite song (just ask about the stretchy lycra)! The music and songs are fantastic too and you’ll find yourself often singing them when you’re tidying up or on a long journey!

For parents it’s an opportunity to enjoy these fast but formative years with your toddler and is a place where you are likely to meet and make long life friends.

To Janet and Karen, Thank You. Every time I listen to a Jo Jingles Cd with the girls or catch a glimpse of Jo on the toy shelf it shall bring a smile to my face as I recall such happy, fun times.

Becky & Faith- Kennington, Ashford, Kent – April 2007

Faith attended Jo Jingles classes with Alison Withey-Harrison on Mondays in Kennington, she loved the classes especially the Sleeping Bunnies, she said for the last few Mondays "I go to Jo Jingles house" hee hee...

Thank you so much for the classes and all the fun we had!

I would definately recommended your classes.

Suzanne Leigh - Sandbach, Cheshire – March 2007

My daughter Jessica has now been going to Jo Jingles in Sandbach for a year and I can't believe how fantastic the sessions have been for her.

When we first started my daughter was painfully shy and wouldn't speak to anyone, after a few sessions she began to come out of herself and I sent an email to comment on how fantastic I thought this was but now I can't believe the change, she is like a different child.

Alison who runs the sessions is fantastic and has been very understanding, helping my daughter to establish herself within the group and now my daughter can't wait to go and see her.

I want to say thank you so much, the experience has been absolutely wonderful and I hope that my daughter will continue to grow in confidence during our time at Jo Jingles.

Tracy Gladman - Benfleet, Essex - February 2007

My daughter has been attending Jo Jingles since she was one.  She is now four.  The music and movement class has been fantastic for her development.

I have been very impressed with the way the classes are run and it is nice to have that special moment to interact with your child.  The classes are themed each week which maintains my daughter's interest and always gives her something to talk about.

The role that "Jo" plays in interacting with the children is great and gives them something to focus on.

The whole element is that music and movement can be fun.  I would highly recommend Jo Jingles to any parent.

Emma M - Taunton, Somerset - February 2007

My daughter has global developmental delays and I was very keen to enrol her in some form of ‘mainstream’ music and movement class we could enjoy together, away from therapists and the special needs spectrum. I had picked up a Jo Jingles leaflet somewhere and decided to call.

My first impression was great and I was impressed with the information I received via post and on the phone, especially due to my concerns. As a qualified nursery teacher and a former group leader with Crechendo (London Music and movement classes) I knew what I wanted.

Jo Jingles has been a wonderful experience for both my daughter and I and we look forward to our weekly class. I too have developed and my daughter’s progress is now much more obvious than the differences between ability and that of her classmates. We need to work hard to achieve the little things so many parents take for granted and Jo Jingles has helped us reach some of these goals. There’s nothing in class we can’t do, sometimes we just do it our own way. We’ve made some wonderful new friends too.

I would sincerely recommend Jo Jingles to EVERYONE.

Many thanks and congratulations to the team for providing such an all round excellent service and helping us back to ‘normality’ – whatever that may be!

Karen Roberts - Winsford, Cheshire - February 2007

I wanted to send this email as it is always too easy to moan when things aren't right but not so to say "thank you".  My daughter attends Jo Jingles at Blakemere in Cheshire where the class is run by Eve Kay.  She is very good at getting children of various ages involved and my daughter has certainly gained a benefit from this.  She is a credit to the Jo Jingles name and an excellent advocate for the service it provides.

Daniel & Giselle- St Austell, Cornwall - February 2007

This is just a short letter to say how much my son loves Jo Jingles.

He has been going to the Treverbyn Children Centre in St Austell since he was three months old.

He is now 22 months old and about 4 months ago he kept coming home and asking for Jo. We hadn’t a clue who Jo was, so we asked at the centre, they told us all about Jo and we immediately bought a Jo Jingles doll which he takes everywhere with him. He has become so enlightened to music and dance now that everytime he sees dancing or hears music he always shouts and looks for Jo, he even wants a Jo Jingles birthday party.

Keep up the brilliant work, and keep the merchandise coming as he loves it all.

Dawn Fisher - Gillingham, Kent - February 2007

Louis has been going to Jo Jingles classes for a few months and enjoys going and seems to have lots of fun.

At first Louis did not want to join in but I kept on going and persevering. He has made great progress and I am so pleased.

We have bought CD’s and musical instruments for home and Louis, Daddy and I have endless fun.

I think the classes are fantastic and I am proud to tell people we go.

Louis's teacher is Jo and she is excellent with the children and makes the session’s great fun.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Jo Jingles to other Parents.

Thank you Jo and the rest of the Jo Jingles Team.

Lisa Cawley - Buckley, Flintshire - January 2007

I wanted to e mail to say how fantastic Jo Jingles is. Ellie my eldest has been going to the Mynydd Isa class for just over a year and is besotted with Jo, the songs and the teacher Sue Beatson.

The class is an inspiration and I personally feel that it needs to be broadcast on TV so that more people could be made aware of it.

It's a fun way to teach the children about rhythm, music, action and also teach discipline to sit down and do as the teacher asks......all a must before starting school.

My youngest Anna is due to officially start Jo Jingles after chrismas. She loves watching and hearing the music just as much ..... as for the Fancy Dance it has got to be the bestsong ever, so catchy that my husband and I couldn't sleep for singing it over and over! ......Ellie is due to start playgroup in March and we have arranged it around Jo Jingles.

So a personal thanks to Jo but most of all to Sue who starts our week off brilliantly. She is not also good at her job, she is kindhearted and a good listener too.

Emily Divers - Rainham, Kent - January 2007

I started Jo Jingles Chatham classes with Jo Gilbey on a Friday morning with my 2 year old daughter Charlotte in September 2006 and we both really love it.  We have now just started our 2nd term.

The classes are made fun by Jo and Charlotte loves her as well as all the singing and dancing.

Charlotte is the type of child who just loves to run around and hasn't got time to sit, and can also be quite shy at times around people she doesn't know and children, so I wasn't sure if Jo Jingles was right for her but went along and am very glad we did.  Within 2 weeks Charlotte was sitting and joining in and it has helped her by building her confidence up.  She has just started nursery and feel that by going to Jo Jingles first has helped her settle in very quickly.

Jo Jingles has been extremely good for Charlotte in many ways, including her speech and learning to listen as well as learning to take care of the instruments.

She has also made some new little friends which is lovely.

We will certainly keep going for as long as possible and I am considering having Jo to do a Jo Jingles party for Charlottes 3rd Birthday.
